14% will have a more severe illness and should consult a doctor and if self-isolating at home should stay under medical supervision.

When To Use Online Doctor Ireland?

Your best option when faced with a health problem or question is to visit your GP in person.

Nevertheless, during the Covid-19 emergency up to 90% of regular GP appointments have been successfully dealt with by video or phone.

Many of us don't have time to arrange and attend an appointment which may mean taking time off work. Surveys show that people often put this off, potentially to the detriment of their long term health.

People will often research symptoms or questions online. This is really not a good idea and can leave you feeling more confused and worried. It is potentially dangerous and certainly no substitute for getting proper medical advice.

Now with our Online Doctor Ireland medical consultation service you have another option available.

Our online doctors can be used for non-emergency medical consultations where a physical examination is most likely not required.

Here are some of the reasons for arranging an medical online consultation:

If you don't have time to get to your GP and need a more convenient option.

If you need to get a fast prescription, sick note or referral note.

If you have a medical issue you don't wish to discuss with your own GP.

If you simply need a diagnosis and advice for an everyday illness or issue such as birth control, weight loss, hair loss, erectile dysfunction or high cholesterol.

If you are considering going to A&E but are not sure if it is appropriate but need a fast medical opinion. (You won't have to pay the €100 A&E fee if we provide you with a referral letter to take in with you).
